Pocket7 Entertainment revealed on Tuesday that all original members of girl group mimiirose have signed exclusive contracts with the company, marking a significant transition for the group. In a bid to rejuvenate their lineup, two Japanese members will be joining the ensemble, expanding the group's roster to seven members.
mimiirose, initially comprised of five Korean artists, is slated to release a new album within the next three months as they embark on this fresh chapter. Pocket7 Entertainment expressed enthusiasm for embracing mimiirose's distinctive musical style, citing them as the company's inaugural addition to their roster and encouraging fans to extend their support to the group's upcoming endeavors.
mimiirose's affiliation with singer-songwriter Im Chang-jung, the founder and chief producer of Yes Im Entertainment, drew attention to their debut. However, following reports implicating Im in a stock manipulation case, uncertainty loomed over the group and their label. The termination of the members' contracts with Yes Im Entertainment in November marked a pivotal moment in their journey.
