K-pop rookie sensation, Zerobaseone, has released their second EP, titled "Melting Point," marking their comeback only four months after their debut in July.
In their previous album, "Youth in the Shade," the group reflected on the uncertainties of youth, which illuminated their journey. With "Melting Point," they confront ambivalence and embrace self-confidence.
Notably, Zerobaseone earned the million-seller title with their debut, and now they aspire to produce hit songs. Zhang Hao, one of the group's Chinese members, expressed their ambitions during a press conference, stating their desire to become the "megahit" and an iconic fifth-generation idol group.
The lead track of their new album is "Crush," characterized by its powerful blend of drum-and-bass and jersey club rhythms. The lyrics convey the group's newfound determination and gratitude toward their fans, known as Ze-Rose.
The album comprises four additional side-tracks: "Melting Point," "Take My Hand," "Kidz Zone," and "Good Night," each offering a glimpse into the diverse emotions and aspirations of the group members.
Zerobaseone is composed of nine members who emerged as winners from Mnet's idol survival program, "Boys Planet." Their debut was groundbreaking, as their first album achieved 1.24 million units in sales on its debut day, a record-setting million-seller title for a debut album in K-pop history. The group recently surpassed the 2 million sales mark with their debut album.
Impressively, their new EP, "Melting Point," achieved over 1.7 million units in pre-order sales, surpassing their debut album's pre-order figures of 1.08 million.
Zerobaseone's members are dedicated to living up to their star-studded career and are focused on their performances and music to demonstrate their capabilities.
This Monday marked the 200th day since Zerobaseone's formation, and they celebrated this milestone with a commitment to their journey in the K-pop industry.
