Ahn Jae-hong, renowned for his roles in various dramas, including "Reply 1988" and "Mask Girl," has joined the cast of the Netflix original series "Chicken Nugget." The 10-part series, adapted from a Naver webtoon, follows the peculiar journey of a father attempting to reverse his daughter Min-ah's transformation into a chicken nugget.
In an interview, Ahn expressed his fascination with the show's unconventional storyline and distinctive characters. He portrays Go Baek-joong, an intern at the father's company, who embarks on a mission to help reverse Min-ah's transformation.
Ahn highlighted the eccentric nature of his character, emphasizing his portrayal as someone entirely unique. He noted the series' departure from conventional narratives, attributing its appeal to its adventurous and unconventional storytelling.
This marks Ahn's second collaboration with writer-director Lee Byeong-heon, following their work on the 2019 JTBC drama "Be Melodramatic." He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work with Lee, praising his ability to create original and thought-provoking narratives.
Ahn's involvement in "Chicken Nugget" marks another milestone in his career, allowing him to explore new facets of his acting abilities. He emphasized his openness to diverse projects and the importance of challenging himself as an actor.
