Rose, a member of the K-pop girl group Blackpink, is currently in discussions with The Black Label regarding a possible solo artist contract, according to an announcement from the music label on Monday.
The Black Label, led by prominent producer Teddy of 1TYM and affiliated with YG Entertainment, confirmed that negotiations are underway. "We are in talks with Rose. That is all we can say," an official from The Black Label stated.
Rose is the only member of Blackpink who has not yet signed a contract for solo activities. Her bandmates Jennie, Jisoo, and Lisa have each established their own independent labels. Last year, Blackpink renewed their contract with YG Entertainment as a group.
Jennie founded her independent label Odd Atelier in December 2023. Lisa established Lloud in February 2024, and Jisoo followed with Blissoo in the same month, with support from her brother.
The Black Label's current roster includes notable artists such as Big Bang's Taeyang, singer Chungha, rapper Zion.T, and actor Park Bo-gum.
