Luxury auction house Gooding Christie's has reported its most successful year to date, generating over $234 million in total sales across four major automotive auctions in 2025.The company, recently acquired by Christie's, saw a 14% increase in year-over-year results, selling 906 vehicle and automobile lots with an impressive 96% sell-through rate. Notably, 52 lots sold for over $1 million, marking a significant milestone in the collector car market.A standout moment was the record-breaking sale of a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider Competizione for $25.3 million, which became the most valuable car ever sold by the auction house. This sale not only set a new world record for the Ferrari California Spider model but also surpassed the previous top lot record by nearly $3 million.The auction highlights included successful sales at prestigious events like Amelia Island and Pebble Beach, where the company achieved $67 million and $128 million in total sales respectively.
