Christie's Gooding auction house has unveiled a remarkable 1960 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta as the star lot for its upcoming Paris sale, promising automotive enthusiasts a glimpse of racing history.The exceptional vehicle, with chassis number 2177 GT, represents a pinnacle of classic Ferrari engineering from the golden era of motorsport. Estimated at €8-9 million, the car boasts an impressive provenance that includes multiple competition events and prestigious Ferrari anniversary celebrations.Originally delivered to a Swiss owner and finished in a rare Light Ruby Red, the Ferrari features lightweight Scaglietti bodywork and original matching-numbers components. Its racing history includes notable performances in European hill climbs during the 1960s, including a 5th place class finish at the Ollon-Villars Hillclimb.The vehicle has undergone meticulous restorations, most recently returning to its original color scheme and maintaining exceptional authenticity.
