Son Sets Up Winning Goal in 3-1 Victory Over Nottingham Forest

Tottenham Hotspur's captain Son Heung-min registered his ninth assist of the season, contributing to his team's ascent to fourth place in the Premier League.

In a 3-1 victory over Nottingham Forest at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, Son assisted Micky van de Ven's 52nd-minute goal.

Son received the Man of the Match award from fans following the game.

With this win, Spurs accumulated 60 points, placing them in fourth position. Despite sharing the same points as Aston Villa, Spurs have a game in hand and lead in goal difference, boasting +20 compared to Aston Villa's +17.

Son provided the crucial assist, passing the ball to van de Ven, who executed a left-footed strike into the top left corner.

Pedro Porro scored Tottenham's third goal six minutes after van de Ven's marker.

Son's nine assists place him tied for fourth in the league, alongside Pascal Gross of Brighton & Hove Albion, Kieran Trippier of Newcastle United, and Ollie Watkins of Aston Villa, who lead with 10 assists each.

Son is also on the brink of joining Watkins as the second player this season to achieve both 10 goals and 10 assists. He currently has 15 goals, placing him tied for sixth in the league this season.
