Several young celebrities in South Korea have participated in the nation's 22nd legislative election, exercising their voting rights for the first time.
The election law, amended in 2020, permits all Koreans aged 18 and above to vote.
Notable figures such as Jang Wonyoung and Liz from the girl group IVE, along with Bae from Nmixx and J from StayC, were among those eligible to vote for the first time. Additionally, members of boy bands such as Treasure and Ghost9, as well as actors like Kim Su-an and Lee Re, also cast their inaugural votes. Minji of New Jeans appeared in an advertisement by the National Election Commission aimed at encouraging younger generations to participate in the electoral process.
