Hyein of NewJeans will be taking time off due to a foot injury, as announced by the group's agency Ador on Thursday. The injury, sustained during practice, has been diagnosed as a hairline fracture on the top of her foot, prompting the need for focused treatment and recovery, according to the firm.
Despite Hyein's absence, NewJeans is proceeding with plans to release their single album "How Sweet" on May 24, followed by another release in Japan on June 21. A pre-release track titled "Bubble Gum" is scheduled for April 27.
In a separate achievement, NewJeans reached a milestone on Spotify, with their interlude track "Get Up" surpassing 100 million streams as of Wednesday. Although the track is only 30 seconds long and serves as an interlude from their second EP of the same title, it has achieved considerable success. Notably, all songs from NewJeans' album have now reached the 100 million stream milestone on the platform.
