HYBE, the entertainment company known for K-pop groups such as BTS and NewJeans, announced the debut of a new international girl group, Katseye. The group will release their debut single on June 28, followed by a second single in July and an extended play (EP) in August.
Katseye is composed of six members who were finalists from “The Debut: Dream Academy,” a global audition held in Los Angeles last year. The members include Sophia from the Philippines, Yoonchae from South Korea, Manon from Switzerland, and three American members: Lara, Megan, and Daniela. The auditions were jointly conducted by HYBE and Geffen Records, a U.S. record label.
HYBE stated that Katseye aims to embark on a new journey with their fans and showcase the preparations they have made for their debut.
