In a report released on Thursday, it was confirmed that the girl group Kep1er will not extend its term beyond July, when the group project is set to conclude.
Comprised of nine members, the group will disband following the release of a final album and a concert.
Management companies WakeOne and Swing, responsible for the members, convened last year to discuss the possibility of continuing as Kep1er but ultimately did not reach a decision.
WakeOne Entertainment has stated that discussions are ongoing with Swing and the members in light of the recent report.
Kep1er was formed through the survival audition show "Girls Planet 999: The Girls Saga" and made its debut with the EP "First Impact" in January 2022. The group subsequently released four more mini albums in Korea and three singles in Japan.
Their first full album in Japan, titled "Kep1going," is scheduled for release on May 8th.
