Lee Sooman, founder and former head of SM Entertainment, will be the keynote speaker at the general assembly of the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC) in Seoul on May 30, as reported by local media on Wednesday. The event is organized by the Korea Music Copyright Association.
This appearance marks Lee's first public engagement in approximately ten months. Recently, his private company applied for a new trademark, "A20 Entertainment," which has fueled speculation about his return to the industry.
Despite this, Lee is barred from re-entering the entertainment industry in Korea for another two years due to a non-compete clause he agreed to when selling part of his shares to Hybe last year. The deal earned him 527 billion won (US$386 million) in cash.
