Jungkook, a member of the K-pop supergroup BTS, has reached the top of iTunes Top Songs charts in 96 countries with his digital single “Never Let Go,” according to an announcement by his agency, BigHit Music, on Saturday. The song, which was released the previous day, ranked No. 1 on iTunes Top Songs charts in the United States, Italy, and 94 other countries as of 9 a.m.
“Never Let Go” is a tribute to BTS's fanbase, known as ARMY, and expresses Jungkook’s gratitude for their unwavering support and love.
The release is part of the 2024 FESTA, an annual festival hosted by BTS to celebrate the anniversary of their debut, which will occur next Thursday. This year's FESTA, which began on Sunday and will continue through next Thursday, features various activities and events. These include a free online event called "Bang Bang Con," showcasing some of BTS's iconic concerts, scheduled for Saturday, and an offline event at the Seoul Sports Complex, which serves as the main venue for the festival. The celebration comes as many fans await the return of band members currently fulfilling their military service obligations.
