A diverse lineup of photography exhibitions and arts events is bringing international talent to venues across Japan, France, and the United Kingdom this summer and fall. The featured events span from intimate gallery shows to innovative film festivals, offering audiences a wide range of artistic experiences.
One of the most significant offerings is "The Art of Storytelling: Reportage, Series, Essay" featuring renowned photographer Gerd Ludwig in Nagasaki, Japan. This comprehensive workshop and exhibition, hosted by Nobechi Creative, will run from September 27th through October 9th, 2025. Ludwig, known for his powerful documentary photography, will guide participants through the essential elements of visual storytelling in the historic setting of Nagasaki.
In the picturesque region of Provence, France, the inaugural Dora Maar Film Festival is set to celebrate arts documentaries from August 29th to August 31st, 2025. The festival will take place at two elegant venues: Hôtel du Tingry and Le Domaine du Fortin in Ménerbes. This new festival promises to become a significant celebration of documentary filmmaking focused on the arts, named after the French photographer and painter who was Pablo Picasso's partner and muse.
Paris will host a solo exhibition of Bruno Sassarone's work at Galerie Arnoux, located at 27 rue Guénégaud in the 6th arrondissement. The exhibition is scheduled to run from November 12th through November 22nd, 2025, offering visitors an intimate look at Sassarone's photographic vision in one of Paris's established gallery spaces.
London's cultural scene will feature "Grace and Fire," an exhibition by Gérard Uféras at Kulturalis gallery. Located at 14 Old Queen Street, London SW1H 9HP, this exhibition will be on display throughout the month of August 2025, from August 1st to August 31st. The exhibition title suggests a compelling exploration of contrasting themes through Uféras's photographic work.
In Arles, France, the renowned photography destination will showcase work by David Meskhi at IRIS ARLES. The exhibition, running from July 5th through August 17th, 2025, will be housed at the gallery located at 4 rue Croix Rouge in the historic city of Arles.
