Photographer Georges-Emmanuel Arnaud is transforming how visitors see one of Fort-de-France's most recognizable landmarks through his groundbreaking exhibition BiblioTECH. The innovative photography series presents the historic Schœlcher Library in an entirely new light, creating images that appear almost surreal, blending elements of delicate lacework with cutting-edge digital technology.

The exhibition showcases the iconic library building as transparent and fragile, resembling intricate lace patterns in ways never seen before. Arnaud's unique approach transforms the solid architectural structure into something unexpectedly ethereal and dreamlike. His photographs reimagine the familiar monument through a completely fresh artistic lens that captivates viewers with its poetic interpretation.

Arnaud explains his technical process, stating: "To create this type of imagery, I bring my photographer's eye because that's my profession. The framing, image composition, lighting... The technique I use involves surveyor equipment that I repurpose to generate a point cloud. When you look at a cloud in the sky, it's a collection of tiny water droplets. The images you see here are a collection of small points generated by this tool called a laser scanner or lidar scanner."

The BiblioTECH exhibition, named after the word "technology," features 27 works from Arnaud's "Coalescence" series. The display has proven popular with diverse audiences, attracting families, tourists, and casual passersby who discover the artistic presentation while exploring downtown Fort-de-France. The exhibition successfully bridges the gap between traditional photography and modern technological innovation.

Visitors can experience this unique artistic interpretation without advance reservations, as the exhibition remains accessible through the end of September. The show invites everyone to step inside and rediscover this emblematic monument of Fort-de-France's city center through Arnaud's distinctive poetic and technological perspective, offering both residents and visitors a completely new way to appreciate this historic landmark.
