SM Entertainment has unveiled its latest musical innovation with the debut of SM Jazz Trio's first physical album 'PINK NOTE', marking a groundbreaking fusion of K-pop and jazz music.The album features ten tracks that reimagine iconic songs from SM's extensive artist catalog, including jazz versions of hits by BoA, EXO, TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls' Generation, SHINee, Red Velvet, NCT DREAM, aespa, and RIIZE.Double title tracks 'Growl (Jazz Ver.)' and 'Only One (Jazz Ver.)' highlight the project, transforming original pop compositions into sophisticated jazz arrangements. The album aims to expand the musical boundaries of K-pop by presenting familiar songs through a fresh, improvisational lens.Comprised of jazz pianist Yohan Kim, bassist Hwang Ho-gyu, and drummer Kim Jong-guk, the SM Jazz Trio has quickly established itself as a supergroup in the Korean jazz scene. The ensemble first gained attention with their debut single 'Supernova (Jazz Ver.)' in August 2024.The album's concept draws inspiration from the legendary jazz label Blue Note, while incorporating SM Entertainment's signature 'Pink Blood' identity. The project represents a bold artistic statement, bridging contemporary pop music with classic jazz sensibilities.SM Jazz Trio will continue promoting the album with a showcase on November 14th, with further details available through SM Classics' social media channels.
