A exciting new collaboration between Richard Winterton Auctioneers and Lichfield Camera Club is bringing local photography talent into the spotlight at a popular downtown cafe. The partnership has resulted in eight stunning photographs of Lichfield and its surrounding areas being permanently displayed at The Auction Cafe on Market Street, which also serves as a coffee shop and valuation hub.
The selected images, all captured by talented members of Lichfield Camera Club, showcase the beauty and character of the local area through various photographic styles. The display represents the club's diverse range of work, which spans from breathtaking landscapes and architectural photography to captivating wildlife shots and intimate portraits.
Richard Winterton, the auctioneer behind the initiative, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, highlighting the natural fit between the two organizations. "Lichfield Camera Club has been delighting photography fans for years with striking pictures ranging from landscapes and architecture to wildlife and portraits," Winterton explained. "As auctioneers of Lichfield for more than 160 years, it's a perfect fit for us to showcase some of the club's photographs of local scenes in The Auction Cafe, where we feel they will be much admired by our customers."
Lichfield Camera Club operates as an established photography organization with strong professional connections, maintaining its affiliation with the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain through the Midland Counties Photographic Federation. The club holds regular weekly meetings every Wednesday at the Lichfield Methodist Centre located on Backcester Lane, providing a consistent gathering place for photography enthusiasts to share their passion and expertise.
Joe Anderson, who serves as the chair of Lichfield Camera Club, shared his excitement about the new partnership and its potential impact on the local photography community. "We're absolutely delighted to be working with Richard Winterton Auctioneers," Anderson stated. "Having a selection of our members' images on display in The Auction Café is a fantastic opportunity to showcase local photography and raise awareness of the club. We really appreciate their support and look forward to building on this partnership." The collaboration represents a promising opportunity for increased visibility and community engagement for both organizations involved.
