The Atelier Amarillo in Langon is preparing its workshops and announcing the opening of a new branch in Gironde-sur-Dropt as it gears up for a colorful new season at the Carmes Cultural Center in Langon, Gironde.
The Atelier Amarillo consists of five talented artists: Anna Ducos (painting), Julie Blaquié (drawing-watercolor), Florence Schrobiltgen (visual artist specializing in textile design and ink), Marie Goulard (visual artist), and Alice Viry (animated imagery). The collective offers a diverse range of artistic workshops including visual arts classes for children, comic book workshops for middle school students, various drawing and painting workshops for adults, and Chinese ink workshops.
The studio caters to children, teenagers, and adults with flexible payment options available by year, trimester, or individual sessions. Detailed pricing and schedules can be found on their website. Registration is possible through the Helloasso platform, email, or telephone. Additionally, creative workshops are offered during school holidays, with the fall session beginning on Monday, September 15, 2025.
Among the exciting new offerings, in addition to the weekly drawing and painting workshops, the association now provides full-day workshops on monthly or bi-monthly schedules. These intensive sessions are perfect for deepening artistic practice and include animated imagery workshops one weekend per month, Sumi-e (Japanese ink painting) sessions one Sunday per month, and mixed-technique painting workshops on Saturday afternoons every two weeks.
Marie Goulard, a new instructor joining the team, will lead creative workshops for both adults and children on Thursday afternoons. Another significant addition is the opening of an Atelier Amarillo branch in Gironde-sur-Dropt, featuring visual arts workshops for children on Wednesdays from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
The upcoming schedule includes several specialized workshops and stages. In September, the studio will offer multi-technique creative workshops titled "Spring in the Feminine" every Thursday from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM. In connection with the "Forests" exhibition at the Carmes Cultural Center, there will be a Sunday Sumi-e workshop called "Certain Trees" on September 21 from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and an animated cinema workshop focusing on fantasy in the forest on Saturday, September 25 and Sunday, September 26 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
October programming continues the forest theme with acrylic painting workshops every Thursday from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM, also connected to the Forests exhibition. A Sunday Sumi-e session titled "The Vine Branch and the Grape" is scheduled for October 12 from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM. During the All Saints' holiday break on Monday, October 20, Tuesday, October 21, and Wednesday, October 22, the studio will host a visual arts workshop called "Monster Mash!" designed for children ages 6-11. This creative program will include drawing, painting, and papier-mâché modeling with a thrilling monster theme that guarantees excitement.
