The Seocho District Office (Mayor Jeon Seong Su) announced on November 26 that it will host the year-end concert Christmas in Seocho on December 14 at 4 PM. The event, held at the Seocho Cultural Arts Center, marks the final installment in the district’s seasonal festival series for 2024. This winter-themed celebration will present a performance of The Nutcracker by the Wise Ballet Theater under the theme “Seocho’s Most Special Christmas Gift for Children.”

Known for its timeless appeal, The Nutcracker blends classical ballet with the magic of Christmas. Featuring the iconic “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy,” a medley of global dances performed by candy-like characters, and the dazzling “Waltz of the Flowers,” the production promises to immerse audiences in an enchanting holiday experience. The Seocho District emphasized that this performance is designed to capture the imagination of children and adults alike, providing a festive moment to cherish.

Reservations for the concert will open on December 2 at 9 AM via the district’s integrated online reservation system, with priority given to Seocho residents. General reservations will become available starting December 3 at 10 AM. Given the popularity of the district’s cultural events, tickets are expected to sell out quickly.

Seocho District has garnered a reputation for its vibrant seasonal festivals. In spring, it hosted the Spring Night Classic Festival, while summer saw the Seocho Music & Art Festival. The fall featured the district’s flagship event, the Seoripul Festival, which highlighted Seocho’s artistic and cultural richness.
