The Thanet Photographers' annual exhibition has officially opened at the King Street Studio and Gallery in Margate, featuring the work of 25 talented local photographers. The exhibition, which began on September 1st, presents a diverse collection of photographic artistry that captures the essence of the region and beyond.
Each participating photographer is displaying two carefully selected images, creating a comprehensive showcase of 50 photographs in total. The exhibition covers a wide range of photographic subjects, including breathtaking landscapes and seascapes that highlight the natural beauty of the coastal area. Visitors can also enjoy stunning sunrise and sunset captures, detailed wildlife photography, and engaging street scenes that document daily life in the community.
Among the featured photographers are several notable local artists from across the Thanet area. Frank Leppard, Roberto Fabiani, and Isabelle de Ridder represent Margate in the exhibition, while Westgate is represented by Wilfred Jenkins, whose striking "Field of Poppies" photograph serves as one of the exhibition's highlighted pieces. Other contributing artists include Denise Bottali, Andy Hillier, Sue Fewings, and Steve Collis, along with additional photographers whose work adds to the exhibition's diversity.
The exhibition will remain open to the public through September 15th, providing visitors with two weeks to experience the collective talent of Thanet's photography community. The King Street Studio and Gallery maintains daily operating hours from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM, making it accessible for both residents and tourists to appreciate the local artistic talent. This annual showcase continues to serve as an important platform for regional photographers to display their skills and connect with the broader community through their visual storytelling.
