Sixty photographers have been selected as winners from an impressive pool of 12,600 entries in a major photography competition that celebrated Singapore's public housing neighborhoods, known locally as HDB heartlands. The competition showcased the vibrant community life and unique character of Singapore's residential areas where the majority of the population lives.

The photography contest attracted thousands of amateur and professional photographers who captured diverse aspects of life in Singapore's Housing Development Board (HDB) estates. These public housing communities, which house over 80% of Singapore's population, serve as the backbone of the nation's residential landscape and represent the multicultural fabric of Singaporean society.
