ZEROBASEONE (ZB1) is spreading warmth this winter by encouraging blood donation amidst a seasonal shortage. Partnering with the Korean Red Cross Blood Services, the group is participating in a special campaign running until December 31 to raise awareness and inspire action.
As part of the campaign, blood donors will receive exclusive ZEROBASEONE photocards as a token of appreciation. Each set includes nine individual member cards and two group unit cards (featuring four and five members, respectively). The collaboration also features D-icon, which contributed additional photographs of the group to support the cause.
The Korean Red Cross emphasized the importance of this initiative, noting that winter often brings a critical decline in blood supply. "Blood donation is essential to saving lives. We deeply appreciate ZEROBASEONE and D-icon’s generous contribution and efforts to promote blood donation culture," a representative said. They added, "This campaign is expected to boost participation and stabilize the winter blood supply."
ZEROBASEONE expressed their commitment to the cause, recognizing the dire need for blood donations. "Donating blood is a simple yet powerful way to save lives. We hope this event will inspire more people to contribute to this meaningful cause," the group shared through a spokesperson.
Blood is the only viable option for saving patients in need of transfusions, as it cannot be stored long-term. Maintaining an adequate supply requires consistent and widespread participation in donation drives, particularly during periods of seasonal shortages.
This campaign offers a convenient opportunity for donors, with participation available at blood donation buses and centers affiliated with the Seoul Central, Seoul Southern, Seoul Eastern, Gyeonggi, Gangwon, and Jeju Blood Centers. By linking this life-saving cause to the influence of one of K-pop’s rising stars, the initiative aims to resonate strongly with younger audiences and foster a culture of giving.
ZEROBASEONE’s involvement highlights their commitment to leveraging their platform for good. As the group wraps up a successful year, their advocacy for life-saving causes adds another dimension to their growing legacy.
