The Global Citizen Forum, in collaboration with the Hanseong Baekje Museum, will host the 8th Global Citizen Forum On On On Festival on December 14 at the Hanseong Baekje Hall in Songpa-gu, Seoul. The event will also be live-streamed on the forum's official YouTube channel.

This year’s theme, “Global Citizens: Let’s Get Closer,” aims to reflect on the evolving multicultural nature of Korean society and to foster conversations about the value of diversity and coexistence in building a harmonious community.

A highlight of the festival is the launch of the “Manin Son” (One Million Hands) project, an initiative to create a symbolic movement for global citizenship by collecting handprints from 10,000 individuals to be sent to the United Nations.

The event will open with a performance by the Global Citizen Orchestra, an ensemble of multicultural youth. Following the performance, the program includes a discussion on “Embracing Diversity and Coexistence,” a screening of a clay animation film, and a special performance by the rock band Next Generation. The band will collaborate with the Global Citizen Orchestra and Choir for a joint performance.

In addition to the main program, the festival will feature an exhibition of creative art pieces from the Global Citizen Forum’s youth participants, highlighting their interpretations of global citizenship through visual art.

The organizers emphasize the importance of cultural dialogue in an increasingly diverse society. By offering a platform for artistic expression, intellectual discussion, and collective action, the festival seeks to inspire individuals to embrace their roles as global citizens and to work towards a more inclusive and cooperative world.
