Interactive program features scenes, props and filming sites from about 40 Studio Dragon productions

The Korea Tourism Organization and Studio Dragon are presenting an interactive K-drama exhibition at HiKR Ground in Seoul through Nov. 19.

Under the theme “When a Scene Becomes a Destination,” the exhibition is designed to connect viewers’ interest in Korean television series with visits to the locations where the productions were filmed.

Content from about 40 Studio Dragon titles is featured, including “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God,” “Mr. Sunshine,” “Hotel Del Luna,” “Crash Landing on You,” “True Beauty,” “Vincenzo,” “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha,” “Yumi’s Cells,” “Our Blues” and “Queen of Tears.”

The displays cover dialogue, major scenes, soundtracks, production props and filming locations. Visitors can type lines from the dramas to create personalised scripts and collect postcards, record-shaped pieces and prop stickers linked to different works and themes.

Items collected during the exhibition can be scanned at a kiosk. The system analyses each visitor’s preferences and recommends travel routes in Korean cities outside Seoul, accompanied by a ticket containing practical information about the destinations.

The Korea Tourism Organization is also preparing a related sales campaign with global online travel agencies. Visitors will be able to use the recommended routes to find travel products connected to K-drama filming locations.

The program is intended to turn interest in Korean screen content into visits to regional destinations rather than limiting the experience to an exhibition venue.
