Instead of attempting to salvage the damaged sculpture, local officials have decided to pursue a completely new artistic beginning for the site.

The once-celebrated sculpture, which was originally inaugurated in 2012 to much fanfare, has now reached the end of its lifespan due to extensive deterioration. The municipal council has decided to pull the plug on restoration efforts, acknowledging that the artwork's condition has degraded beyond practical repair.
