Jay Park is set to bring holiday cheer with his first-ever Christmas-themed single, ;( Merry Christmas :), which will be released digitally on Monday, as announced by his agency More Vision on Friday.
The single’s teaser image features festive illustrations hand-drawn by the artist himself, including a snowman, reindeer, Christmas tree, and gift boxes, offering a glimpse of the playful and warm atmosphere the music promises to deliver.
The release consists of two contrasting R&B tracks, highlighting the duality of emotions often felt during the holiday season. This marks Jay Park’s first Christmas carol, arriving just two months after the release of his sixth solo full-length album, The One You Wanted. The album, which featured 20 tracks, included collaborations with prominent artists like Ning Ning of aespa and Chungha, solidifying Jay Park’s versatility as an artist.
Jay Park’s dive into festive music adds another dimension to his prolific career, showcasing his ability to explore new genres and styles. The upcoming tracks are expected to bring both soulful warmth and vibrant energy, aligning with his reputation for pushing creative boundaries.
In addition to his musical endeavors, Jay Park has been busy as the host of Universe League, a K-pop competition designed to debut a new boy band. The show, which has been airing since last month, reflects his commitment to nurturing the next generation of K-pop talent while maintaining his presence as a trailblazing solo artist.
With ;( Merry Christmas :), Jay Park continues to demonstrate his ability to innovate while staying connected to his fans. As one of the few K-pop artists to release a holiday-themed project, the single is expected to resonate with both his long-time followers and new listeners, offering a memorable soundtrack for the festive season.
