Jimin, a member of the globally acclaimed BTS, has secured another milestone with his latest digital single, "Closer Than This," reaching the top spot on the iTunes top songs chart in 116 regions.
This accomplishment marks Jimin as the first-ever artist to have four songs achieve such widespread success. The digital single, released in December, serves as a source of comfort for fans who missed the artist during his enlistment period.
Jimin's previous chart-toppers include "Like Crazy," the main track from his inaugural solo album "Face," which notably became the first K-pop solo act to claim the number one spot on Billboard's Hot 100. Additionally, "With You," a drama theme song, secured the top position on the iTunes top songs chart in all 119 regions. Furthermore, his solo track "Filter" from BTS's fourth studio album reached No. 1 in 118 regions.
Last week, Jimin greeted fans through a fan community platform, coinciding with the Lunar New Year holidays.
