Six-track EP led by “Birthday Wish”
Album includes NMIXX’s first subunit songs

K-pop group NMIXX will release its sixth EP, Strange Muse, on Oct. 19.

The group unveiled the promotional schedule for the upcoming release through its official social media channels on Sept. 22. Promotions begin with a motion poster on Sept. 23, followed by an album trailer on Sept. 28 and concept photos on Sept. 29 and 30.

An a cappella highlight medley will be released on Oct. 11, followed by the original highlight medley on Oct. 15. A music video teaser for the title track will arrive on Oct. 18.

On release day, NMIXX will hold a countdown livestream ahead of the album’s launch. Strange Muse and the music video for its title track, “Birthday Wish,” will be released at 6 p.m. KST on Oct. 19.

The EP arrives about five months after NMIXX released its fifth EP, Heavy Serenade, in May.

Strange Muse contains six tracks: “Birthday Wish,” “Kerosene,” “RudE TaLK,” “Sing to the Moon” by Lily and Haewon, “Hot 'n Unbothered” by Sullyoon and Bae, and “WHIP” by Jiwoo and Kyujin.

The record marks the first time NMIXX has included subunit songs on an album. Lily and Haewon team up for “Sing to the Moon,” Sullyoon and Bae for “Hot 'n Unbothered,” and Jiwoo and Kyujin for “WHIP.”

All six members are credited as lyricists on their respective subunit tracks. Kyujin also participated in composing “WHIP,” while Bae contributed lyrics to the album’s third track, “RudE TaLK.”

NMIXX’s sixth EP Strange Muse will be released on major streaming platforms on Oct. 19 at 6 p.m. KST.
