Ayoung Kim, Korean visual artist named at the first ACC Future Prize

South Korean visual and media artist Ayoung Kim was named the first ACC Future Prize winner, which was opened at the National Asian Cultural Center.
The award is a biennial system designed to discover artists with creative art languages that expand innovative future values and possibilities.
The artist captured a fictional scenario with a futuristic world twist and an open ending given by AI in her work.
She has continued multidisciplinary work covering video, moving images, sound installation, performance, VR, game simulation, fiction, and text.
Her work will be available in person at the ACC Future Prize 2024: Ayoung Kim, held from Aug. 30 to Feb. 16, 2025 at ACC Creation Space 1.
Also, her new project exhibition will be held at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) from August 22 this year to January next year.
