Banksy’s animal murals have been appearing throughout London, drawing significant attention from both art enthusiasts and the general public.
Beginning on August 5th with the depiction of a mountain goat precariously perched on a wall, the artworks have been revealed sequentially through the artist’s Instagram.
Banksy has shared only the photos of these works without any explanation, sparking diverse interpretations among the art world and the public.
Commentators have speculated that the murals might symbolize the violent mobs involved in recent far-right riots in the UK, or that they aim to raise awareness about endangered animals.
Meanwhile, there was an incident where the most recent wolf mural was stolen just a few hours after it was completed by two masked men.
These individuals dismantled the artwork using a ladder and disappeared with it, and their identities remain unknown.
Banksy's works continue to captivate the public with their artistic value, social messages, and mystery, leaving everyone eager to see what he will create next.
