The Boryeong Volunteer Center held its 2026 Volunteer Healing Academy at the main auditorium of Boryeong Culture Hall on Sept. 2.
Around 250 people attended the two-hour program, including individuals registered with the national 1365 Volunteer Portal and volunteers affiliated with local organisations and institutions.
The center organised the event to provide local volunteers with time for rest,交流 and discussion outside their regular community activities.
Comedian Ahn Sang-tae, who began his broadcasting career through KBS’s open recruitment program, delivered a lecture titled “Your Volunteer Work Makes the World Warmer.” The session addressed community service, social change and the value of sharing.
A resource-exchange booth was also operated at the venue. Participants brought recyclable items including used batteries, milk cartons, transparent plastic bottles and unwanted jeans, combining the volunteer program with practical recycling activities.
The Boryeong Volunteer Center plans to continue offering training, specialist volunteer programs and support measures for active volunteers in the city.
