Renowned actor Jung Woo Sung has publicly acknowledged being the father of a child born to model Moon Ga Bi. In a statement released through his agency on Sunday, Jung confirmed his paternity but refrained from sharing details about his relationship with Moon.

Moon Ga Bi, 35, announced the birth of her son on November 22 via her social media, where she posted a photo of her baby’s hand touching her face, accompanied by a heartfelt caption. While speculation surrounding the child’s paternity had circulated, Jung’s admission put an end to the rumors.

According to reports, Moon and Jung first met in 2022 at a social gathering and maintained contact afterward. Moon discovered her pregnancy in June 2023, and sources indicate that Jung pledged to take full responsibility for the child’s upbringing.

Though the two reportedly worked together to decide on their son’s name and Moon’s medical and postpartum care arrangements, they did not pursue a romantic relationship or plan for marriage. The focus, as described by both parties, has been on ensuring the child’s well-being.

She reflected on the shock and unpreparedness she felt when she first learned about it, stating, “The news came so unexpectedly that I couldn’t fully celebrate or enjoy the moment. Instead, I chose to spend most of the pregnancy quietly, surrounded by my family’s blessings.”

In her post, Moon expressed her commitment to raising her child in a world filled with positivity and love. “I wanted my child to see only the bright and beautiful world I once knew, and to do that, I had to be brave,” she wrote, adding that sharing her feelings publicly provided her with a sense of liberation.

Moon Ga Bi gained fame in 2018 with her appearances on popular beauty programs like Get It Beauty and the variety show Law of the Jungle in Tasmania. However, she stepped away from the spotlight in 2019 to focus on her personal life.
