WILD Enters Spotify Charts as PINKY UP Receives Two MTV VMA Nominations

Global girl group KATSEYE ranked No.1 on the K-POPIT Board Global Rising chart dated Aug.20. The group recorded a Global Power Index score, or PWR_GL, of 69.

The K-POPIT Board is a proprietary data index combining music chart results, social media activity and media coverage. Its ranking reflects recent changes in an artist’s momentum rather than sales or streaming figures from a single platform.

KATSEYE released its third EP, WILD, on Aug.14. All five tracks entered Spotify’s U.S. and global daily charts following the release.

Lead single “Hootie Frutti” reached No.6 on Spotify’s Daily Top Songs U.S. chart and No.12 on the global chart. Pre-release single “Animal” climbed to No.5 globally. The music video for “Hootie Frutti” surpassed 10 million YouTube views within 36 hours of its release.

“PINKY UP” received nominations for Best K-Pop and Best Choreography at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards. The nominations were announced on Aug.18. KATSEYE previously won PUSH Performance of the Year for “Touch” at the 2025 ceremony.

The group is scheduled to begin its first headlining arena tour, the WILDWORLD TOUR, at Dublin’s 3Arena on Sept.1. After eight European dates, the North American leg will open in Miami on Oct.13 and conclude in Mexico City on Nov.27.

Manon has been on a temporary hiatus from group activities since February to focus on her health and well-being. HYBE and Geffen Records said at the time that the group would continue its scheduled activities during her absence.

Sophia also stepped back from promotional activities in early August following medical advice. The labels said the decision was made to prioritize her mental health and recovery, adding that her condition would be reassessed in September.

Megan was reported to have missed several recent promotional schedules, although no long-term hiatus had been announced as of Aug.20. Daniela, Lara, Megan and Yoonchae appeared on NBC’s TODAY on Aug.14 and also performed “Animal” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

No further announcement has been made regarding Manon or Sophia’s participation in the tour. The performing lineup will therefore depend on subsequent official updates from the group’s labels.
