The Wuppertal Suspended Railway, one of Germany's most iconic transportation systems, has been selected as the theme for the 2025 Wuppertal Photography Prize. The prestigious competition will showcase the many fascinating aspects of this unique monorail system that has served the city for over a century.

The distinguished jury for the 2025 contest brings together representatives from various sectors of the local community and photography industry. The panel includes Georg Rose from Radio Wuppertal, Stefan Seitz from Wuppertaler Rundschau newspaper, and professional photographer Bettina Osswald.
