Galaxy Corporation revealed on Monday that GDragon, the acclaimed K-pop artist, will release a solo album in the latter part of the year.
Following his departure from YG Entertainment in December last year, this marks his first new music endeavor after an 18-year tenure with the company.
While the agency provided no specific details about the upcoming album, it will be GDragon's first solo release since his second EP, titled "Kwon Ji Yong."
Notably, his previous albums, "One of a Kind" (2012) and "Coup D’etat Pat. 1" (2013), entered the prestigious Billboard 200 chart.
The five-track EP "Kwon Ji Yong" also achieved significant success, topping both Billboard’s world albums chart and various domestic music charts, in addition to debuting at the summit of iTunes top albums chart in 39 regions.
