NCSoft has officially launched the PC version of "Marvel’s Spider-Man 2" on its gaming platform, PURPLE, marking a significant expansion of the game’s accessibility for Korean players.

Developed by Insomniac Games in collaboration with Marvel, "Marvel’s Spider-Man 2" is the latest installment in the acclaimed franchise. The game, originally released as a PlayStation 5 exclusive on October 20, 2023, became available for PC on January 31, 2025, with optimization handled by Nixxes Software.

One of the standout features of "Marvel’s Spider-Man 2" is its vastly expanded open-world map, which is nearly twice the size of its predecessor. The game introduces Web Wings, a new traversal mechanic that enhances the fluidity of web-swinging, allowing players to experience the thrill of exploring New York City more dynamically.

Combat mechanics have also seen significant improvements. The game features an enhanced combo system that integrates both traditional Spider-Gadgets and the Symbiote powers introduced in this installment. Additionally, Miles Morales returns as a fully playable character, bringing his unique bioelectric abilities into the mix, and adding further depth to the combat system.

The game also features an expanded roster of villains, providing a richer narrative experience. Players will face Kraven the Hunter, a notorious adversary from the comics, alongside returning villain Mister Negative (Martin Li), who played a pivotal role in the first game. Most notably, Venom, one of Spider-Man’s most iconic rivals, makes a formidable appearance, setting the stage for intense confrontations.

NCSoft’s PURPLE platform is offering the PC version of "Marvel’s Spider-Man 2" exclusively to players in South Korea. This move strengthens NCSoft’s position in the PC gaming market by bringing a globally renowned title to Korean audiences through its proprietary service.

As "Marvel’s Spider-Man 2" makes its way to PC, fans of the series can now experience its immersive story, action-packed gameplay, and visually stunning open world with the benefits of PC-level performance enhancements. With the game now available through PURPLE, NCSoft continues to expand its reach in the gaming industry while delivering high-quality content to domestic players.
