Second single from ‘TIME TRAVEL PROJECT’ revisits Roo'ra’s 1996 hit

K-pop group AtHeart will release a remake of Roo'ra’s 1996 song “3! 4!” as the second single of its “TIME TRAVEL PROJECT.” The single is scheduled for release on Aug. 19 at 6 p.m. KST.

AtHeart shared concept artwork for the upcoming single through its official social media channels on Aug. 6. The artwork features members Michi, Arin, Caitlyn, Bom, Seohyun, Aurora and Nahyun as comic-style characters.

The characters are depicted in outfits based on the styling planned for the single’s promotional activities. Crop tops, wide-leg pants and bandanas are combined to create a look drawing on Y2K-era fashion.

“TIME TRAVEL PROJECT” is a remake project centered on songs originally released in 1996. AtHeart is reinterpreting songs that attracted attention in Korea and the United States during the period.

The project began with “Say It,” a remake of “Lovefool” by Swedish band The Cardigans. For its second release, AtHeart selected “3! 4!” by Korean group Roo'ra, originally released in 1996.

The original song is associated with the summer-oriented pop music of its period. AtHeart will reinterpret the track with its own vocal arrangement while retaining elements of the original composition.

“3! 4!” will be released on major music streaming platforms at 6 p.m. KST on Aug. 19.

The release will continue AtHeart’s “TIME TRAVEL PROJECT,” which revisits music from 1996 through a contemporary group format. The project’s subsequent song selections and musical direction are expected to be revealed through future releases.
