Artist Haekang Lee's exhibition "Cloud Stepper" runs from July 4 to August 3, 2024, at GALLERY2 in Seoul, showcasing characters brought to life on physical canvases.
Lee's work explores how storage systems create narratives by selecting what to save, with characters originally created for brands and various commissions.
These characters, once nameless and defined by their commissions, are now given unique identities through Lee's creative process, which includes details like outlines, colors, and personality traits.
The exhibition features eleven paintings of Quasimodoom, a character blending hip-hop figures Quasimoto and MF Doom, highlighting the transition of Lee's characters from the digital realm to the material world.
