K-pop legends 2NE1 have announced an additional concert date in Seoul on October 4, following the swift sell-out of tickets for their originally scheduled performances on October 5 and 6. This decision, revealed by their label YG Entertainment on Monday, comes in response to the overwhelming demand from fans eager to see the iconic group reunite on stage after an eight-year hiatus.
The upcoming concert series marks the group’s official return, celebrating the 15th anniversary of their debut. Last week, when tickets for the two initial dates were released, they sold out almost instantly, with over 400,000 fans vying for a chance to attend. The extraordinary demand underscores 2NE1’s enduring popularity and the anticipation surrounding their comeback.
After their Seoul performances, 2NE1 will continue their reunion tour with stops in Tokyo and Kobe, Japan, scheduled for late November and early December, respectively. This tour not only signifies the return of one of the original K-pop powerhouses but also highlights the group’s lasting influence on the global music scene.
Adding to the excitement, member Minzy shared a playful moment on Instagram, posting a photo of herself with CL during a rehearsal break. The post, captioned “Elsa and Anna from a hip-hop kingdom,” further fueled the anticipation among fans as they prepared to witness the group’s dynamic chemistry and powerful performances once again.
