This accomplishment marks the second time the group has reached such a milestone, following the performance video for their hit single “OMG.”
“Super Shy” was released in July of the previous year as a pre-release from their second EP, “Get Up.” The single quickly ascended to the top of music charts both domestically and internationally.
It debuted at No. 1 on all major music charts in South Korea and maintained a presence on Billboard’s Hot 100 and the UK’s Official Singles Chart for eight and nine weeks, respectively, peaking at No. 48 and No. 52. Additionally, the song reached 300 million streams on Spotify in October of the same year.
In related news, the quintet recently announced that they will be taking a hiatus due to ongoing conflicts between their producer, Min Heejin, and their parent company, Hybe.
This announcement came a day after celebrating their second debut anniversary, marking a temporary pause in their activities.
