Sony Music Korea and Sony Music Japan have announced the upcoming launch of a new K-pop boy band named KJRGL, scheduled to debut in September. The name KJRGL stands for “Kind (of) Just Right Good Luck,” as revealed by Sony Music Japan.
The group will feature a mix of three Korean and three Japanese members, each with notable background in K-pop. The Japanese members include Kouki, who gained attention from his participation in the second season of “Produce 101 Japan”; Akira, known for his role on “Tora Project”; and Riku, who appeared on Mnet’s “Boys Planet.”
On the Korean side, Dien also competed on “Boys Planet.” He will be joined by Saeron, the son of Korean singer Han Seo-kyeong, and Isaac, who trained at a prominent K-pop agency.
KJRGL will release a pre-debut track titled “Prologue-The Deepest Blue” on September 4. The group's full debut album, “Overture-The Blue Wave,” is scheduled for release on September 18. Sony Music Korea and Sony Music Japan are planning an extensive global promotion for the album.
The debut of KJRGL is highly anticipated, as the band’s diverse background and previous experiences in K-pop contests are expected to attract considerable attention from both domestic and international fans.
