Illit’s Debut Single ‘Magnetic’ Achieves Platinum Status in Japan in Record Time

“Magnetic,” which is the lead track from Illit’s debut EP “Super Real Me,” was released in March and has surpassed 100 million streams in Japan as of last month. This accomplishment marks the shortest time for a female artist to reach such a milestone in the country.
Additionally, the single has been recognized as the most-listened K-pop song outside Korea on Spotify for the first half of this year, according to the platform's “Global Impact List – South Korea.” As of July 5, “Magnetic” has amassed 300 million streams on Spotify, setting a new record for a debut song by a K-pop girl group.
Furthermore, “Magnetic” has maintained a position on Billboard’s Global excl. the US and Global 200 charts for 17 consecutive weeks. It also made history as the first debut song by a K-pop group to enter Billboard’s Hot 100, debuting at No. 91.
