Their single album “This Man” has surpassed 100,000 shipments as of last month, marking the duo’s success with their first venture outside the full group. This achievement adds to Seventeen’s impressive tally of 16 albums that have attained gold status in Japan.
Released on June 17, the single quickly rose to the top of Oricon’s daily single ranking and secured the second position on both the weekly and weekly combined album rankings. During its debut week, the album sold over 780,000 copies, setting new records for a K-pop subunit.
In related news, the full 13-member group is set to host a special meet-and-greet event titled “Seventeen in Carat Land” in Seoul on July 23-24, enhancing their interactions with fans.
