Daewon Media Game Lab, the gaming division of Daewon Media led by co-CEOs Jung Wook and Jung Dong Hoon, has announced the release of the Korean version of Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia for Nintendo Switch on November 28. The title, a strategic nation-conquering simulation game, has captured the attention of fans with its unique blend of tactical depth and immersive storytelling.
The game revolves around five Brigandines—Justice, Sanctity, Freedom, Glory, and Ego—bestowed by the Rune God. Players choose one of six factions, each vying for dominance on the continent of Runersia. The ultimate goal is to conquer rival factions and unify the land.
The gameplay is divided into strategic phases. During the organization phase, players expand their base, claim advantageous positions, and carefully allocate their characters across their territory. Management extends to equipping units, changing classes, and summoning monsters within a cost limit to build the most efficient and powerful army.
The attack phase brings the thrill of conquest to the forefront. Players deploy elite units to invade enemy bases deemed critical to the overall strategy. At the same time, they must prepare their bases for potential counterattacks from rival factions in future phases.
Combat is conducted on a hexagonal battle map with a turn-based system. Success requires players to master their units’ abilities, spells, and traits while accounting for terrain and the composition of enemy forces. Victory in battle secures the targeted base, granting players valuable loot such as equipment and items. Gradually, players expand their control over enemy strongholds, aiming to achieve complete unification of the continent.
The game's tactical complexity is further enriched by its engaging narrative, where each faction has its backstory and motivations tied to the Brigandines they protect. This combination of gameplay and storytelling has made Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia a standout title in the strategy simulation genre.
For Korean players, the Nintendo Switch version includes a localized interface and text, enhancing accessibility for fans. Early buyers of the physical edition will receive an exclusive microfiber cleaner featuring a detailed map of the Runersia continent.
Daewon Media Game Lab encourages fans to visit its official website for more information on the game and its features. With its release, Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia is set to captivate strategy enthusiasts, offering a deep and rewarding gaming experience for both longtime fans and newcomers alike.
