As the sole remaining relative, she inherits the family gravesite. However, complications arise when her half-brother Young-ho (Ryu Kyung-soo) asserts his claim to a share of the estate. Shortly thereafter, detectives Seong-joon (Park Hee-soon) and Sang-min (Park Byung-eun) initiate an investigation into a series of mysterious murders near the family property.
Adapted from the webtoon of the same title by Kang Tae-kyung, with illustrations by Jonoon and Rido, Min emphasized that "The Bequeathed" encapsulates a universally relatable story about family dynamics and the emotions associated with them, whether positive or otherwise.
Having served as an assistant director on notable films such as "Train to Busan," "Psychokinesis," and "Peninsula," Min Hong-nam's directorial debut is highly anticipated by audiences. "The Bequeathed" will be available for streaming on Netflix starting January 19.
