BTS’ J-Hope is making a highly anticipated return with his second single, "MONA LISA," set for release on March 21 at 1 PM KST.
"MONA LISA" is a hip-hop R&B track that draws inspiration from the famous masterpiece to express admiration for a captivating figure. Through the song, J-Hope conveys that true charm lies not in outward beauty but in individual uniqueness, showcasing his matured musical artistry.
J-Hope actively participated in the songwriting and production of "MONA LISA," deepening the song’s emotional depth. The track delivers a soulful message about recognizing and celebrating one’s inner brilliance, further solidifying his growth as a solo artist.
Fans were given an early preview of the song when J-Hope performed it live at his ‘HOPE ON THE STAGE’ concerts at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, on March 14 and 15. The unexpected reveal heightened excitement for the official release.
Following the performance, J-Hope shared his thoughts on stage, saying, "'MONA LISA' is a song that expresses love, and to put it simply, ARMY is my masterpiece." His heartfelt words resonated deeply with fans, reinforcing the special bond between the artist and his audience.
Alongside "MONA LISA," J-Hope will also release an FNZ remix version of his first digital single, "Sweet Dreams." The remix is produced by Grammy Award-winning duo FNZ, adding a fresh reinterpretation to the original track.
J-Hope is currently on his North American tour, performing 12 shows across six cities. Next month, he is set to make history as the first Korean solo artist to headline Los Angeles’ BMO Stadium, further cementing his global impact.
