The Disney animated film Moana 2 has officially surpassed 1 million viewers, cementing its position as one of the most successful movies of the year. According to the Korean Film Council’s integrated ticketing system, Moana 2 recorded a cumulative audience of 1,145,037 as of 8 a.m. on December 1. This milestone was achieved four days faster than Wonka, which secured its spot among the top six box office hits of 2024 with 3.5 million viewers and significantly outpaced the original Moana by five days and the blockbuster Elemental, which amassed 7.2 million viewers, by six days.

On its opening day, Moana 2 attracted 190,000 viewers, surpassing the opening score of Inside Out 2. This figure is also double the opening-day performance of its predecessor, Moana. The film has demonstrated remarkable momentum, drawing audiences of all ages with its visually captivating narrative and compelling characters.
