Polar Bears Reimagined in Pastel Color, Dae-yong Byun's solo exhibition, 'BIBID'

Contemporary artist Dae-yong Byun holds a solo exhibition, 'BIBID' in Busan.
Byun is an artist who presents reliefs and sculptures based on polar bears. He is gaining public preference for his smooth work style, which utilizes soft pastel ton colors and resin materiality.
The exhibition name 'BIBID' refers to the artist's art view which is more special while being tied to 'VIVID', which refers to the clarity of high color.
The artist uses polar bears as the work's main theme to remind the audience of the warmth of childhood and the importance of daily life.
An official at the Unilapse Gallery, where the exhibition is held said, "We are pleased to display Byun's work in our first solo exhibition since its opening." and added, "We hope that the exhibition will allow visitors to think and tell clear stories with the work."
The exhibition will be available free of admission until February 3 next year at the Unilapse Gallery located in Suyeong-gu, Busan.
