Jimin, a member of the globally renowned K-pop group BTS, is set to release his second solo album, "Muse," on July 19 at 1 p.m. local time, according to an announcement from Big Hit Music on Tuesday. This album comes as a follow-up to his debut solo album, "Face," which was released in March 2023 and reached No. 2 on Billboard's main album chart, the Billboard 200.
"Muse," recorded before Jimin's military enlistment at the end of last year, will include seven tracks, one of which is "Closer Than This," a fan song that he released in December 2023. In a statement on Weverse, a fan community platform, Big Hit Music described the album as a continuation of Jimin’s exploration of his artistic inspiration, building on the themes introduced in "Face."
The release will be preceded by teaser content that was prepared before Jimin commenced his mandatory military service. Jimin has been serving in the military since December 12, 2023, and is scheduled to be discharged on June 11, 2025.
