ZEROBASEONE (ZB1) has once again solidified their dominance in Japan. On January 28, Oricon released its latest chart rankings, revealing that ZEROBASEONE’s first Japanese EP, "PREZENT," debuted at No.1 on the Oricon Daily Album Chart.
The album recorded 189,646 copies sold on its first day, marking the highest first-day sales for a 5th-generation boy group in Japan. With this achievement, ZEROBASEONE continues their streak of breaking records as an international artist in the Japanese market.
Their success extended beyond Oricon. On Japan’s iTunes charts, "PREZENT" secured No.1 on the Pop Albums chart, No.2 on the K-pop Albums chart, and No.5 on the Overall Albums chart. Additionally, on Apple Music Japan’s K-pop Albums chart, the album ranked No.2.
Several of the album’s tracks also made an impact on LINE MUSIC’s Top 100 chart, with "NOW OR NEVER," "HANA," and "Firework" all successfully entering the rankings.
Meanwhile, their recent pre-release Korean mini-album, "Doctor! Doctor!", landed at No.12 on Billboard Japan’s Hot Shot Songs chart, further showcasing the group’s growing global influence.
On January 15, the group pre-released the music video and digital single for "NOW OR NEVER," one of the album’s double title tracks. The song quickly climbed to No.2 on LINE MUSIC’s Real-Time Top 100 Chart, proving its strong reception among Japanese fans.
"PREZENT" was crafted as a gift to ZEROSE (ZEROBASEONE’s official fandom), expressing gratitude for their unwavering support. The album features six tracks, including four original Japanese songs and two Japanese versions of Korean releases. A representative from the group’s agency stated, “This album showcases ZEROBASEONE’s musical growth across various genres. Fans can look forward to a rich and dynamic listening experience.”
As ZEROBASEONE continues their overseas success, they are also gearing up for a highly anticipated Korean comeback. "Doctor! Doctor!" has already topped domestic music charts, dominated China’s largest music platform QQ Music, and ranked on YouTube’s Trending Music chart.
The group is set to release their new Korean album on February 24, signaling an even bigger year ahead for the rising global stars.
